For the best use of multiple pumpkins Matt and Adrienne win with their pumpkin man sculpture!

For best Dressed/Decorated the judge could not decide. She found all three to be very charming in their own way.

Audrey wins for the most beautifully decorated.

Nina and Kaiden win for the cutest pumpkin.

And Esther wins for the most glamorous pumpkin.

For best use of a pattern Jordan wins with his lord of the rings pumpkin.

For best original design, Matt and Adrienne win with their surfer!

Of course, all the kids get a special prize for their excellent work! I was very impressed.

The Entries are In!

Thanks everyone for another great round of pumpkin carving and decorating. You guys mean so much to me. Hang tight while the judges decide and I'll keep you posted!

Let the contest begin!

Ok everyone! It's that time of year again... The best time. Last year's pumpkin contest was an amazing success so I first want to thank everyone for getting so involved. Let's try and make this year even better.

The rules are simple. Carve a pumpkin, have fun, and get into the Halloween spirit. Take two pictures when you're done: one of yourself and your creation, (not that I don’t trust you) and the other a close-up of your pumpkin to be used in the judging process. Whats new about the contest this year is that you're entry must fit into one of the following categories:

1: Best use of a pattern

2: Best original design

3: Best use of multiple pumpkins

4: Best dressed/decorated pumpkin

Also, there will be a category for all my kiddies, 10 years and under. Go crazy, get as creative as you want!

Theres no limit on entries and you can enter more than one category. Thats it! Entries are due October 31st by midnight. Winners will be announced November 1st and prizes will be awarded. I’m giving an extra day this year because a lot of you like to carve on Halloween.

Pictures of the pumpkins will be uploaded to the blog so everyone can see how awesome everybody’s work is.
